Mounting steps for silicon carbide bushing
Before installation, the silicon carbide liner must be carefully cleaned with the surface of the shaft seal. Here is a brief introduction to the installation steps of silicon carbide bushing:
(1) the surface of the seal on the cleaning shaft. Remove any burrs or rough spots, ensure that Bush did not install in the keyway, cross hole, spline or other similar places.

In three position measurements, the arithmetic mean is taken to ensure that the size of the shaft is within the recommended specification. If the average diameter is in the range of the given bushing size, the bushing will have enough surplus with the shaft so that the adhesive is not required and can prevent the bushing from sliding or rotating on the shaft.
(3) to determine the location of the bushing to be installed, and must cover the wear area. Measure the exact point, or directly on the surface to make a mark. Bushings must be placed in the wear area, not just on the bottom or left axis and flush the place.
(4) the shallow wear groove does not need to be filled. In addition, a very thin layer of soft sealant can be used for the inner surface of the bush. Remove sealant, move to the shaft or the surface of the outer bushing.
(5) if the axial depth of scratches, groove filled with epoxy powder filler metal. Install the bushing in the filler before hardening, the bushing can wipe off excess filler. Remove any residual filler bushing surface.
(6) reiterated that the heating method can not be used for wear resistant bushing installation.
(7) if the installation is required to remove the flange, the flange diameter should be cut to the arc. The flange end of the bushing is installed on the shaft first, and then the installation tool is placed on the bushing.
(8) light tap mounting tool until the bushing covers the worn surface. If the installation tool is too short, can use a long tube without burr or square at the end of the bobbin. Make sure that the diameter of the pipe is the same as the diameter of the installation tool. Be careful not to scratch the outer diameter of the precision grinding bush.
(9) wear resistant bushing should always be installed so that the edges of the bushing will be installed on the shaft. Edge can not be extended or beyond the shaft chamfering part, because in seal installation process, the sharp edges may cut the sealing lip.
(10) to dismantle the flange, first using pointed nose pliers to flange and pull up and then use pliers and rolled up until the pull down. Be careful not to pull the end of the bushing along the axis, so that it will leave a jagged edge.
(11) after the installation of the bushing, once again to verify whether there will be damage to the sealing parts of the burr.
(12) install the sealing parts before using the system medium lubrication bushing.
(13) seal installation.
